Workshops to inspire creative expression

I had my first taste of workshop facilitation whilst working as a graphic designer within a tech company. The sessions helped to supercharge the creative process, bringing people together in exploring a problem or challenge in an open environment free from the usual office politics. Colleagues left inspired, motivated, excited and connected, open to new possibilities.

The beauty of the creative process is not only about the awesome outcomes at the end, its how it opens you up new ways of thinking, breaking through barriers, taking you down paths you would not usually tread. Its also incredibly fun, to experiment and play in this open zone. It holds a similar space to play when we’re young, a space with no other distractions, worries, or concerns, only the natural flow of thoughts and ideas.

I passionately believe as Adults, we no longer dedicate enough time to creative play. My aim is to spread creativity and playfulness through workshops and sessions that allow us to explore and express ourselves within safe, non-judgemental environments.

Always happy to chat about these sessions, is there something we can create together?

Case Study: Whilst travelling in Cambodia I had the opportunity to teach a creative workshop around photography

Gathering in the yoga hall, we first looked at what photography is, and how we use it in our everyday lives. This was followed by demonstrating and actively testing a few techniques to create more interesting shots.

Armed with their smart phones, I set them off into the world, tasked with capturing 3 photos over 45 minutes. Rather than see this as a tick-box exercise, I encouraged them to go deeper and discover images that were meaningful to them, ignoring any preconceptions about what photography should or should not be.

Afterwards we gathered in a circle and took some time to share each others images and realisations within the group.
