Producing a video to explain the new features of a major product update
Creating a Story
With a major update to one of Brandwatch’s core products, we needed to communicate the main benefits and new features in an easy to consume format.
After clarifying the main objectives of the project, and how we wanted to utilise video, we began to outline the top level storyline with product marketing.
Working together with a fellow designer in the team, we were quickly able to delve into a rich flow of ideas, exploring and discussing the right balance between abstract visuals and full product UI.
Once we had a storyboard in place, we briefed the Animator and worked with him on the timing, transitions and audio.
Result
The final video was embedded in the product page and promoted on social. The project helped define new parameters for how the company uses animation going forward for this use case.
